My take on romance.

I noticed that I get hit on by random females a lot. Is there a valid reason why? Does my.. avatar appeal to you?

First of all, what is the point of pico boyfriend/girlfriends? I can understand online dating, and have participated in such a few times, but come on guys. In pico? Really?

Let me show you how a real relationship works.


"Acquaintance" phase:  Two people meet.  They do not know much about eachother.

"Friend" phase: Said two people become friends and get along. They share similar interests, or, if they don't, their opposing interests are exciting to the other person.

"Close friend" phase:  They get close. They begin to let eachother know more about their inner world, their secrets. They allow eachother to see them when they're vulnerable, to show that they trust eachother.

"Courting" phase: To court someone is basically to hit on them, for those of you with a lesser vocabulary. The way this works in my theory is that one of the two close friends begins to have feelings for the other. They will usually try to show it in subtle ways before confessing their feelings. Sometimes the feeling is mutual, as well.

"Boyfriend/Girlfriend" phase: This is when the two friends agree to 'go out' as they say. This introduces a whole new level of closeness that one is able to achieve. We can simplify this in about four levels of physical closeness.

1st Level - Consists of hand holding, hugging, innocent kissing.
2nd Level - Kissing becomes more erotic. There are hints of sexual desire. A few teasing touches here and there.
3rd Level - This is when things get dirty. Foreplay and oral sex are included here.
4th Level - Sexual intercourse.

Some people like to hit things of very quickly while others prefer to wait until a later phase of closeness.


"Lover" phase: This is when you know he or she is the one for you. You love them, you appreciate their faults and shortcomings, and you adore their quirks and all the other weird things about your lover. You can tell them anything. I like to think of this as 'being best friends with your lover'. If you feel like that, then there's a good chance you're at this phase. This is the phase where marriage often occurs, if you marry for love.

Why all the mentions of love, Faust? Are you missing someone right now?

Yes, yes I am. Sigh.
